What a weekend!
Our first full Friday & Saturday Dinner Service out of Nomad Gourmet Food! It was quite an amazing experience for us to put on, and for those who came to give it a try. A good portion of the customers we saw over the weekend came specifically because they heard we were cooking food out of a gourmet food truck; but many who hadn’t heard about it, stuck around and were pleasantly rewarded and surprised at the twist we had to offer; “Street Food” done in our style and offered with our remarkable service.
We had some challenges, mostly the wind, and of course just barely making it through Saturday night with enough cooking gas; but it all worked out in the end. So, the food rolled out of Nomad, the wine & beer poured in the dining room, and all had a great time!
In one week, the reno will be finished. Nomad will roll out to its winter home. And the restaurant will get back to normal. So this is your last chance to drop in and give the "Street Food" menu a try.
Its also your last chance to get in on some Crowdfund action!
We gained 15 new donors over the last 3 days, totalling $1,950 in contributions to this project! Amazing! This was the single most active round of donations ever, and we were very happy to see it and appreciate the help from all those who came on board; you’ve made the right choice!
The crowdfund now sits at $10,575 toward the refit of our cooking facilities. That pays for the new slip-guard floor and new fire suppression system, making our kitchen a very safe environment to work in. But as you can see, we have a ways to go yet to reach our goal of $28,000.
There are just 3 and a half days left to get in on the action and the clock is ticking. We really could use your help in making this a successful drive toward renovating our kitchen without a bank loan; the idea being we’d rather give the interest back to you in great tasting, locally sourced food in an award-winning atmosphere.
Help us build community, and get your just reward!
