Something Old/Something New

Good Tuesday everyone!

            We closed our doors for the last two days to get the ball rolling on this substantial kitchen renovation that we promised our crew last year after our first crowdfunding project. Needless to say, it’s crunch time. For the next two weeks our whole universe is going to be upside down. With all the chaos that comes with a renovation we’re combining it with a pop-up restaurant inside our own restaurant. Things are…. well…. Busy. 

            While the walls are being ripped down and floors torn up it shines a light to the true need our kitchen was in. Being an older building here in Halifax means being an OLD building. Over the years our little spot has been host to appliance repair stores, grocery markets and even other restaurants. This Frankenstein of a space has served us well and also gave us the opertunity to have a really great historical backstory. Now we are giving a part of it another facelift. Adding to the evolution of the space and breathing new life into piece of it.
